SSC MTS (Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff) is a national level examination conducted for the recruitment of Multi-tasking staff for various government departments and offices. Citizens of India who have passed class 10th exams are eligible to apply.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
The written examination will consist of:
Paper-I : Objective type
Paper-II: Descriptive type

Scheme of Paper I:
Paper I includes four subjects:
General Intelligence and Reasoning - 25 questions
Numerical Aptitude - 25 questions
General English - 50 questions
General Awareness- 50 questions
All questions are 1 mark each. Time allowed for general candidates is 2 hours and for Visually Handicapped/ Cerebral Palsy candidates is 2 hours 40 minutes

Scheme of Paper II :
i) It is a descriptive paper in which Short Essay/ Letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the constitution is given in the exam.
ii) This paper is of 50 marks.
iii) Time allowed for General candidates is 30 minutes and for Visually Handicapped/ Cerebral Palsy candidates is 45 minutes.
